Acidity is a problem that most people suffer from. Acidity is a problem in which there in an excessive amount of acid produced in your stomach when digesting foods. Indigestion and gastric reflux are primary signs of a high level of acidity.

As said, the human body creates acid to digest food. Though, if too much acid is created then that is when the problems can start to occur. There are countless reasons as to why our pH can drop below 7, which is considered acidic.

Herbal Remedies for High Acidity Levels
  1. Indian Cherry: The fresh and sweet Indiana cherries can be eaten to lessen any inflammation that develops as a result of a high level of acidity.
  2. Kutki: To reduce nausea or vomiting because of acidity, kutki seed powder can be taken around three times per day for about four days or until symptoms improve.
  3. Bougainvillea: The bougainvillea leaves are taken from the plant and are crushed into a paste. This paste needs to be taken about every two hours to reduce the acidity within your body.
  4. Cucumber: Cucumber seeds have soothing properties which is why it is provided to those with high acidity levels. The seeds must be chewed in consistent intervals. It has been said that cucumber seeds can even treat those with a severe case of acidity as well.
  5. Palmyra Palm: The fruit pulp of this plant is a great natural antacid and can reduce the effects of heartburn.
  6. Bermuda Grass: This grass should be made into a juice and taken three times per day until the acidity is gone.
  7. Indian Asparagus: Indian asparagus root powder combined with the milk of a cow is sure to treat acidity.
  8. Curry Leaf Tree: The leaves of the curry tree are great for lowering acidity levels and keeping them at bay. Curry Leaf juice is best taken at least once a day to manage acidity as well as to improve your body's digestive function.
  9. Cumin: To reduce acidity, you can chew on raw cumin seeds every one to two hours at least five times each day. This herb only needs to be taken for two days in a row.
  10. Orchid Tree: For dealing with extremely high levels of acidity, take this herb with raw honey in intervals of around two hours.
  11. Carum: Carum seed powder combined with coriander seed powder can be consumed to help reduce the amount of acidity within your body.
  12. Mango Leaves: Mango leaves can be picked and juiced. This remedy is very effective for reducing acidity and the symptoms caused by high acidic pH levels.
